How Much Do Amazon Drivers Make? Wages Of Delivery And Flex Drivers

With more than 400 fulfillment centers (FCs), 150+ sorting centers and more than 1,000 delivery locations worldwide, and the people behind them, we’re ready to deliver this holiday season so customers can get what they need. you need, when and how you want. Here’s how we do it:

This year, we will rehire 150,000 employees across our U.S. operations in full-time, seasonal and part-time roles. Workers can earn more than $19 an hour on average, depending on location and geography.

Our goal is to make online shopping and returns as easy as possible. We offer free and convenient returns on most items shipped within the US, and customers should look for the free returns label below the price to qualify. You can return without packaging or tags at select locations, including Whole Foods, Kohl’s, Amazon Stores (Amazon Go, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Style), Amazon Counter and Locker+, and UPS.

The retail giant tells Axios it hopes to attract thousands of mom-and-pops to its Amazon Hub delivery program by the end of the year. Participating companies must commit to delivering an average of 30 packages per day (excluding holidays).

Amazon didn’t say how much the small business earns in total, but the average is $27,000 a year, according to Axios.

The company will begin hiring stores in 23 states today. Among the regions it is looking for partners are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Dakota and Washington.

The process works like this: Amazon delivers the packages to the company, which stores them in a safe place. Since the company has time during the day, they deliver these shipments to the final stage, ensuring that they get into the hands of the closest customers. Payments are made on a package basis. No shipping experience necessary, Amazon says. And no long-term contracts.

Amazon Contract Drivers In California Join Teamsters Union (amzn)

An Amazon ad that allows customers to tip $5 for high activity has been launched in less than 48 hours.

Not everyone was enthusiastic about the initiative, which began on a day when Amazon was accused of stealing advice from its executives in previous years.

Announcing the promotion on Dec. 7, the e-commerce giant’s customers can order their Alexa-enabled devices with “Thank My Driver” and the company will send a thank you.

The top five drivers with the most “compliments” will receive $10,000 to keep and $10,000 to donate.

“To celebrate this new feature, for every thank you received from customers, managers will receive an additional $5 at no cost to the customer,” Amazon says. “We’re doing it for the first 1 million compliments.”

A day later, Amazon updated its FAQ about the ad, saying that the offers section had reached the 1 million driver mark and had an “enthusiastic response.”

Customers can still use Alexa to thank their drivers, and Amazon says they share the feedback, but drivers won’t see a financial boost.
